Each spring the Friends take a trip. The past few years we’ve gone to The Philadelphia Museum of Art and to see Carousel on Broadway. On April 10, the Friends head back to Broadway to see To Kill A Mockingbird. We will start with a lovely lunch at Cafe Un Deux Trois and then walk to the Schubert Theater for a matinee performance. At this time, the trip is fully booked. However, cancellations may occur! If you would like to be placed on a wait list, please contact Barbara Uhr at 908-317-2983. Details of the trip can be found below.
Lunch – Café Un Deux Trois 123 W. 44th Street, NY
Open since 1977, Café Un Deux Trois is a French café in the heart of the theater district which maintains a commitment to serving high-quality food in an elegant setting. Everyone so enjoyed this setting last year, we decided a return visit is a must.
To Kill a Mockingbird – Schubert Theater 225 W 44th Street
Following lunch, we will walk to the nearby Schubert Theater for the world premiere play by Aaron Sorkin of the beloved American novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. Based on an event that occurred in 1930’s Alabama, Harper Lee’s enduring story of racial injustice and the destruction of childhood innocence centers on one of the most beloved and admired characters in literature, Atticus Finch, played by Jeff Daniels.
