A great night celebrating the ‘official’ dedication of the painted arches at the entrance to the Children’s Area. While completed in April 2020, we were finally able to acknowledge the planning and creativity of the combined effort between the Friends, the Children’s Staff and the the muralist, Caren Frost Olmsted. With a agenda that included a formal ribbon cutting by Library Board Trustee, Michelle Habayeb, read remarks by Mayor Brindle, an overview of the experience with Caren Frost Olmsted, an introduction to Allen McGinley by Library Board Trustee, Michelle Habayeb and words by Allen McGinley, Director of the Library.
This wonderful gathering of Friends and community members was the perfect kickoff to our 50 Years of service to the Westfield Memorial Library. We look forward to honoring our relationship with the library with events and activities throughout 2022. Enjoy some pictures from the dedication.
