Our Children’s & Teen’s Book Sale was quite the hit this year. The sale made $3,838.00 all which will go directly towards library programs. A special thank you to the book donor community. The great condition books were such hit that almost of them sold. The reminder of the inventory, about 300, will go towards the 7 Little Free Libraries run by the Friends.

The Friends are truly fortunate to have an amazing group of over 40 volunteers to help run the sale. The time and dedication to sort, shelve, help customers shop and pay for over 7,000 books is impressive. Thank you for all that you do for the sale.

Little ones enjoyed the sale too. Each day they could sit at the kids table and color a book mark while folks shopped. On Wednesday and Thursday the children were treated to story time by librarians and a special visit from Morticia Addams.

In appreciation of a great sale the co-chairs (Amy Berman, Michele Martin, Joan Sanborn and Dona Teschner) hosted a brunch for the amazing volunteers. A big thanks to Ahrre’s Coffee for donating to the event.

Children’s and Teen books, along with books for all ages, will be on sale this spring at the 48th Annual Book Sale April 18 to the 29th. Mark your calendars and check back for more information in early 2023.
